Villa Lara is a beautiful 4 bedroom villa, at AlmaVerde, Western Portugal. It is south facing and overlooks the Burgau hills.

About Us
Hello and welcome to Villa Lara. We are a professional couple who let out our Portugal home to guests. We live in the West Midlands and have 2 grown up daughters. We have been coming to the area on family holidays for many years and it never fails to please us.
We often also invite members of our extended family as it comfortably accommodates two families. We visit as often as we are able and want to ensure that our guests enjoy our home as much as we do so we are always updating it with new furniture, linen and accessories, sun-loungers and parasols.
How we got hooked
We have rented numerous villas in Portugal with our children many times over the last 20 years and it was a long held dream to own a property on the Algarve, to holiday in the sun and in particular near to Burgau. AlmaVerde was the perfect choice for us.
We love the area as it is peaceful and just far enough away from the crowds at the height of the season, but with easy access to amenities, many varied activities, beautiful walks and scenery.
The Western Algarve enjoys a Mediterranean climate - hot dry summers and mild winters. In the height of the summer, the heat is moderated by cooling Atlantic breezes.
The area has rolling hills, verdant valleys, rugged cliffs, golden sandy beaches and is largely untouched by mass tourism.
The western coast is particularly special, vast deserted beaches and river estuaries to walk along, tiny places en-route to grab a coffee and pastel de nata, or a small beer and spicy piri-piri chicken.
Favourite things in Burgau
Burgau and the surrounding area has much to offer, from relaxing and unwinding, walks on the beach, fabulously friendly bars and restaurants to surfing, dolphin watching, scuba-diving, kite flying, walking in the Natural Park or just "being"
Burgau is a very quaint beachside village, The beach at Burgau is really picturesque and is sheltered by cliffs giving the bay a very secluded feel.
The beach is a glorious blue-flag beach and shelves gently into the sea.
We have tried lots of the restaurants in the village and the beach bar is a great place for informal meals at night and during the day. There are many places to eat and the fish is always fabulous and caught daily.
For nature lovers and keen walkers the area is a delight as there are many lovely coastal walks to the West (to Salema) and to the East (to Luz).
We are sure you will come to love the area as much as we do and we would love to share Villa Lara with you.
